Marylebone Rifle and Pistol Club is a Home Office approved club and was situated in the City of London. We are at present negotiating with the City of London Corporation to develop new premises in the London Bridge area.
Our facilities will include:
6 yard and 10 metre airgun ranges with auto-target changers.
An air-conditioned, six firing point, 25 metre range. Each bay with auto-target changers. The range is to be approved for calibers up to .44 magnum.
Club rifles, both small-bore (.22 rimfire) and centre-fire will be available for use by full and probationary members.
An armoury with secure storage for members firearms.
A Home Office approved Section 7.3 (Historic Firearms) facility.
A spacious clubroom with a well-stocked bar where a range of drinks and snacks can be purchased.
The club also has accomodation at Bisley, the DUKKA Hut, where facilities include showers, toilets and a kitchen.
We hire bays on the Melville or Cheylesmore ranges at Bisley for shooting at distances up to 50 metres with gallery rifle, long-barreled revolver and muzzle-loading pistol. For high power rifles, muzzle-loading rifles and black powder cartridge rifles, we hire targets for shooting at distances from 100 to 1,000 yards. From March to November we usually have one gallery rifle/muzzle-loading pistol and one full-bore rifle shoot per month.
We also have occasional bookings on the Running Boar and Deer ranges but these are usually mid-week owing to the high demand for their use at weekends by the British Sporting Rifle Club who own the range.
At the end of the year, we have a Christmas shoot which consists of a fun competition in the morning and a Christmas meal in the Dukka Hut in the afternoon.
The club is affiliated to the National Rifle Association (NRA), the Muzzle Loading Association of Great Britain (MLAGB), the British Sporting Rifle Club (BSRC), the British Association for Shooting and Conservation (BASC) and the London & Middlesex Rifle Association (LMRA). Affiliation to the LMRA allows club members to use their club house at Bisley which has a bar and two restaurants (but not their members-only bar).
